President's Message

Hello ladies,

What a great time to be part of the Jacksonville Women’s Network!

This is an exciting month for JWN. On October 15th we will welcome new members who are voices of influence and share in the vision of supporting and accelerating the advancement of women in both personal and professional endeavors.

Our annual meeting will be on October 17th and we look forward to presenting your 2020 board leaders as well as unveiling core values that will complete our guiding principles along with our vision and mission. We will also have the pleasure of hearing JAX Chamber President and JWN Member, Debbie Buckland’s perspective on what it means to be a voice of influence. Hope to see you there!

Warmest regards,

Maribel

2020 Dues Update

The JWN Board of Directors, responsible for the financial health of our organization, has voted for a small raise in dues for 2020. Full member dues will be $175 (an increase of $25); sustainer dues will remain at the current rate. Dues were last reviewed and increased in 2015. The 2020 dues rate will allow JWN to remain financially stable by balancing the organization’s budget, protecting our reserves and continuing to offer the dynamic programs for our membership. In mid-October you’ll receive an invoice for your 2020 dues along with a short summary of this year’s successes as well as upcoming opportunities to continue to engage with Jacksonville’s most influential network of women.

Thank you for continuing to support JWN.

Please direct all concerns about this issue to Maribel Hernandez at [email protected]

Dear JWN sisters,

Counting all the things I am thankful for, JWN is right up there amongst the top. For the last 23 years, my husband and I have hosted an open house Thanksgiving. This year however, due to him having major back surgery the first part of November, we are putting this year’s open house on hiatus. We wish everyone a blessed holiday and look forward to hosting again in 2020. For those of you who have joined us in the past, we look forward to celebrating with you in the future. ~ Pixie

"What an enjoyable lunch ladder with these three amazing lawyers. Vickie Bowers shared her passion for Hospice and camping adventures with her pets while Rose Marie shared a photo of her new pet and told us about her family. We celebrated Kathy’s retirement and the great news that she is going to be a grandma! All three of these beautiful ladies practice elder law and were such a pleasure to get to know."
